ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL

In my last post I shared with you an over-the-top beautiful house on Bainbridge Island, overlooking Puget Sound to Seattle. Everything about that house was grand and opulent. While it's fun to drool over those houses, the fact of the matter is, I'm not a grand & opulent kind of girl. My style is best described as Gap Chic with (lately) a heavy dose of flannel thrown in for good measure.

So all things being equal, I think I'd choose a much more understated residence than the Grand Beach House. Something probably more along the lines of this adorable little Beach Cottage priced at a much more respectable $595,000 (and yes, I know in other parts of the country $600k would buy you a palace).

I'd paint the kitchen cabinets white, of course.

And pull up that hideous commercial-grade carpet

But really, this place is all about the view.

This back patio reminds me a lot of the place we stayed in Bozeman last summer.

So, which would you choose and why?

  1. Oh my gosh, this cottage is just darling. It has so much potential and the views are to die for. If I had an extra $600k laying around, I'd take it! ;-)
