The day after we got back from London we went out in the rain to find our first live tree since ... 2009? Since then I've been decorating in fits and spurts. This morning I woke up at 5:30 a.m. (I'm getting better - the past two mornings were 3 a.m. and 2:30 a.m.), and after putting on some clothes I decided to try my hand at yet another DIY ornament escapade. This time I was successful so I decided to use the early hours before work to decorate our mantle. I've been adding to it off and on all day. I think it's just about perfect, and I can't wait to show you the rest of our house. Until then ... here's what things are looking like.
