SO LONG OLD FRIEND

Today we're selling our Mini Cooper, the first car we bought when we moved to SF, after being placed on a waiting list for months. That car has taken us to Shasta, Santa Barbara, and all points in between. It was Alan's commute car for years, amassing over 100,000 miles. But now that Alan works in SF and I take him to the train everyday, the Mini just sat there on the street outside our house. We'd drive it approximately 20 feet when we had to move it for street cleaning. And then we got tired of doing that and it spent the winter in Alan's parents' garage. And now, our little blue dynamo is going to a new home. Incidentally, Alan's old commute partner is the one buying him.

  1. Aw, I love mini's.  A good pally of mine has one (same color as yours!) and I love cruising around with her... So fun.  At least you know he's going to a good home!  :)

I loved that car.  Remember when we cruised all over China Town?   It had a lot of leg room.  I bet you'll miss it, but oh what memories you've both shared in that car.  Plus Alan will still get to see it. :)

  4. The Mini is surprisingly room for such a small cabin.
