Speaking of tomatoes ...

Our Green Zebras are *finally* starting to grow & ripen. It's the end of August and we've eaten exactly ONE. That's better, however, than our Brandywines. We have harvested ZERO. Yes, we've gone an entire summer without eating any precious Brandywine tomatoes. And we've only had one Purple Cherokee. Thankfully there is another one on the vine right now that's *thisclose* to being ready. In fact, there are several different varieties that are *thisclose* to being ready to eat.

  1. Those are gorgeous! We tried a few heirloom varieties this year for the first time and I haven't been impressed with the results.

    I've got a tomato-related post that's been hovering in draft status that you've motivated me to go work on.
