Sneak Peek: New Orleans

So that it's not all doom and gloom here on the blog, I need to write-up a recap of our four-and-a-half days in New Orleans over the Thanksgiving holiday. Aside from the stuff I wrote about yesterday, there were many high points to the trip. New Orleans is such a beautiful city and I'm so thankful that we were able to return and find much of what I remembered loving about it from pre-Katrina in tact. I know a lot of people think of New Orleans strictly as a party city but step one block off Bourbon Street and it's so much more. Because of its rich history, the beauty - and decay, which seemingly live in harmony with one another - you see around every corner is simply unlike any other place I've seen.
