When I left the event yesterday at 1:30 p.m. it was 59 degrees. By the time I got back to our house it was 85 degrees. Not cool Oakland. Not cool at all.

NO AUTUMN AROUND THESE PARTS
I spent the better half of the week down in Santa Cruz for a work offsite and the weather was glorious - cloudy, foggy, misty, highs in the upper 50s. I was so pleased and giddy. People think I'm a loon.
