It's become pretty obvious that the paper lamp we've carted around for years just isn't going to cut it as a dining area lighting source now that the nights are darker earlier. While it's romantic and all, we may as well be eating by candle light.
I've done some research and it seems like a swag chandelier would be our best option. We can't get an electrician in here to cut into the ceiling to create overhead lighting (something this apartment is seriously lacking), so we need something that we can plug in and trail over the dining table. I looked at Lamps Plus and they have a lot of drum shade options, but we're not really enamored of them. You know what we really liked? Our old Ikea lights that we had hanging in our office.
But I need your help house bloggers extraordinaires. Can we use these in the same way using one of these cord sets?
