It goes a little something like this.
The handles on our fridge gouged, like a dog chewed them up[.
More than a dozen giant scratches in the brand new sink we had installed.
Dirt on the moulding
I wrote to our realtor and said that this was completely unacceptable. I'm not going to lie. I want to cry. A lot.
OH. MY. GOD.
ReplyDeleteI would be FREAKING OUT right now. How are you not having a rage-stroke?? Did you already pay them? By credit card? Because I would be on the horn with the credit card company and reversing that payment lickety-split.
I hope you get some recompense for this, dude. This is terrible.
I don't even know what to say Becky. I am simply horrified by the damage!! I would have absolutely lost my sh*t over something like this. I'm with Money Pit Love -- stop payment, blow up their phones, and do everything you can to get your money back as well as compensation for the needed repairs.
ReplyDeleteAnd until then, grab bottle, remove cork, drink directly from said bottle.
File with the cleaner's insurance. Not sure if there's a good solution for the sink (maybe that sort of thing can be buffed out?), but the handles can for sure be replaced--and should be! Good luck! (On the up side, this must mean you're getting closer and closer to listing and being done, right?) Your yard looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteOur Realtor was the one paying the cleaners. I'm not sure where the money was coming from though. Probably a giant check we gave him. Realtor doesn't seem to think any of this is a problem. I told A to tell him that if a buyer complains about the dings and scratches and tries to get us to replace it during the negotiations he can pay to have it done because we aren't and we brought it up immediately. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words about the yard. Alan did it all by himself. He literally worked his skin off.
Horrified is a good word. I mean, who does that?
ReplyDeleteI think the only thing keeping me from a rage-induced stroke is the copious amounts of whisky I'm drinking at night.
ReplyDeleteIs the sink one that has a grid available for it? If so, that might be a quick and easy fix. I doubt most/any people looking will bother to pick the grid up (and bonus: they get a grid!)
ReplyDeleteNot sure on the grid. Will look into it.
ReplyDeleteI am a long time follower and completely outraged at this service. I know the realtor is a friend but he sounds like a putz. I agree with everyone else, good luck and have another drink!
