We've been looking at what's available on the market and driving around various neighborhoods. For our next home we want something that's a bit more modern, with a retro twist. No new construction, certainly. I'd love a midcentury modern home with a rock fireplace, wood vaulted ceilings, an open floor plan, and a garage that we can actually park in. Another must have is two bathrooms. The area that seems to have the most to offer us in a price range we can stomach is Montclair/Piedmont Pines/Forestland. Some of the streets are crazy winding and are kind of scary to drive on, but I really love how it feels so secluded but is only a few minutes to the Village and the freeway.

HOUSE STUFF
Yesterday Alan sent me an invite to a website called Trello that seems like a pretty cool to-do list tracking system. You can assign tasks to people, tabulate how far into a project you are, and a whole other host of features that I haven't quite looked into yet. It has a UI similar to Pinterest in that there are boards and so it's something visually that I'm already familiar with. Hopefully this will keep us on track to do everything we need to get done before we put the house on the market.

the 5th and 6th photos are both amazing spaces. very neat tool.
ReplyDeleteThe 5th photo is a house our Realtor just sold.
ReplyDeleteWow that is about the perfect house. Me and my wife will be looking at bungalows in Dallas next year. How many square feet is yours?
ReplyDeleteNice. The houses that we've been to in that area have all been pretty awesome. The main issue re: that area (for me) is that it's virtually unwalkable *to* anything. If you're gonna drive everywhere (or already live in a similar area), not a big deal - but otherwise, a lot of the houses are stunning.
ReplyDeleteWe live in a neighborhood right now with a pretty high walk score. You can't pay me to walk anywhere around here, so I have no problem with having to drive.
